Megan's Youtube Banner

My most recent design, created for Megan N's youtube channel, is simple yet elegant. Megan wanted a simple and classic look. We decided on keeping it black, white and grey. She wanted a fancy calligraphy font, so we went with "KG Eyes Wide Open". It's elegant, yet still easy to read. I also added a simple outline and shadow to the font. The scattered diamonds add a glamorous touch, and are accented with a few twinkle stars.

This simple glam design is definitely one of my favs! What do you think?!

Natasha's Blog Makeover

My gorgeous friend Natasha wanted her blog basically redone, and when she said she had the same taste as me and wanted pink, diamonds, and all out glam I knew I couldn't resist. I just adore the outcome! And it's totally something I would use on my own beauty blog.
We started out with the cool pale pink tone, color #fdd2ff, as the background. I've always loved a classic damask pattern, but I wanted to keep it subtle. So I found a large damask design, and did a transparent overlay. I kept the center of the background white (for her blog content) and trimmed the edges with diamonds.
For the banner I wanted to keep the same pink, white, gray combination and opted for a gradient pink-to-white background. For her pictures I used a vintage looking frame for the larger one, as well as a lace border for the smaller one. For the text I used a handwritten calligraphy font called "HoneyScript", which you can download for free here. After a few little decorative touches it was complete!
I love the way it turned out! It's very elegant, fun, and girly, but still sleek at the same time.

Head over to Natasha's Beauty & Fashion blog to see it for yourself and let her know what you think!

SpeakNoww17's New YT Banner

Congrats on Nicole, SpeakNoww17, for making partner!
She wanted a simple, yet elegant banner, so this is what I came up with! I used the mint color, #A5FEF0, basic black, and some gray. For her channel name I used the font Branboll Small, and Throw My Hands Up in the Air for her website link. I added some shadowing around the name and website, and added a few social media buttons. And that's all! I love how this turned out, and of course anything mint is AMAZE.
What do you all think?

Sabrina's YouTube Enhanced Background

Hey there!
I wanted to share with everyone my newest design for Sabrina. She made a new YouTube channel called AhoySabrina. She wanted the enhanced YouTube background to be nautical themed and simple.

I went with blue (#3B6B9C) stripes, and have them a distressed crinkled texture. The channel name and twitter name is written in red (#C50509) and the font is called Jenna Sue. I also added a cute little gold anchor to bring it all together.

So what do you all think? I personally think its adorable, and fits her channel perfectly :)

Blog Makeover: My Beauty Blog & YouTube Channel

I have spent the last 3 days at my computer (not doing my homework) and revamping my beauty blog and YouTube channel. I typically redo my blog about once or twice a year. I was still in love with my other design, but I wanted an all new template and a more simple look. My old banner was busy and large, and I felt like I had a lot of clutter on my page. So my blog got a makeover! And it was not easy...

I started off with a template from FThemes.com. This is a similar one to what I use on this website only the slideshow is smaller and a few other things. From there I picked the template apart and turned the whole thing upside down just about. But 3 long days and a backache later it was done. There's still a few things that need adjusting, but I'm sure you won't notice unless you're a crazy perfectionist like me.

Then I created the background from a pink damask print, repeated it horizontally, and added a gradient to the bottom. For the banner I wanted to keep it simple, so I chose a script font called Kunstler Script, added a little sparkles and that was it. For colors I stuck to just two shades of pink: f37aa4 & fad0da and an accent of grey and black.

I also found some little heart shaped contact buttons, but ended up creating my own for thing like Instagram, Pinterst, and this website. Aren't they cute?

I reorganized all my blog posts, and catagorized them with labels so I could have a good menu bar. This was the most time consuming because blogger won't let you search for more than one post label. So there was no way for me to have a link for post with labels makeup and tutorial. So I had to add the label "makeup tutorial" to all those posts I wanted. Sounds confusing but its a basic feature blogger is lacking, along with the ability to delete labels without having to open every post.

I also added an About Me section with a little about me and some common FAQ questions I get. I also have a contact page, which I still need to change around.

So overall I'm loving how it turned out! What do you all think? I'd love to hear your feedback after all that work I put into it :)

BringYourGlam YouTube Background

Hey everyone! I am bringing you a new design, that I could not be more pleased with. Sabrina and Marissa started a collab beauty channel and needed a glamorous background to go along with it! As soon as I heard the name of the channel I had a perfect theme in mind. I wanted to go with something girly, fun, and especially bright since summer is coming. The pale pink and bright blue-green contrast perfectly. And I am obsessed with the vintage florals. The floral decals are from the amazing www.shabbyblogs.com. The font is Joyful Juliana, and the colors used were #FED8EC and #1DFDFD. All the images were courtesy of the collab members:
